Little Cottonwood Canyon - Utah, United States

Snowboard, Ski

Snowbird is a small village in Little Cottonwood Canyon, in the Wasatch Range of the Rocky Mountains in Salt Lake City, Utah. The resort has the longest vertical descent in Utah as is known for its long groomed runs, steep moguls, tree-filled terrain and wide deep powder bowls. It is known as an intermediate/advanced mountain due to the exceptionally steep terrain, but of the pisted runs, 27% are beginner, 38% are intermediate and 35% are advanced. The quality is due to the elevation, more than 3.300 metres, and above all the snow quality which makes it a world class station. It has 2.500 hectares of skiable terrain with immense zones between the forests and a good snowpark with an excellent pipe, various jumps and jibbing zone.

The season usually begins at the end of November and with more than 200 active days a year, condition permitting, it stays open until the end of April. The best conditions can be found during January and February, when there is more precipitation.
