Cerro Catedral

San Carlos de Bariloche - Alta Patagonia - Neuquén, Argentina

Snowboard, Ski

Cerro Catedral is located in the Nahuel Huapi Natural Park, to the west of San Carlos de Bariloche in Argentina. It extends across three peaks and it’s the second largest station in South America. Since 2004, important inversions have been made with regards to the modernisation of the lift system, improving the snowpark and the piste bashers. Located less than 20 km away from Bariloche, you’ll find a different place with good virtues, excellent snow quality and more than 600 skiable hectares at your disposition, Patagonian cuisine and fantastic après ski.

The station is at an altitude of more than 2.100 m and freeriders can do some excellent routes from the peak, for example Piedra de Condor and Zona Laguna, whilst enjoying the great views of the Nahuel Huapi Lake. The Nubes chairlift will take you to the Triple Park snowpark. Freestylers can enjoy a boarder cross piste, a pipe and a multitude of other elements. There’s also a repair workshop in case you damage your equipment. The rest of the mountain has more than 120 kilometres of groomed pistes which are suitable for all levels, however most are reds.

The season commences at the end of June and the station stays open until the beginning of October. Thanks to its elevation, snow cannons and good work by the staff, Cerro Catedral can be enjoyed at any time, however July and August are generally the best months.
